Jon Barta is pastor of Valley Baptist Church.

Pastor Jon graduated from Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada (part of Biola Univ) in May, 1992 with a Master of Divinity degree. He was the pastor of Sun Valley Bible Church from June 1990 to May 1994. That church merged with Valley Baptist, and he became the associate pastor until he was called to be VBC's senior pastor in December 1996.

In 2007, Pastor Jon received an honorary doctorate of divinity from the Pacific School of Theology in Pasadena.

Pastor Jon also serves as the chairman of the board of directors of Avenues Crisis Pregnancy Center of Southern California.
